KICKING the new year off, St Duthus played a bounce match against Fort William at the Highland Football Academy and despite a fighting first half performance they fell by a five goal margin.

Brora Rangers reserve goalkeeper Daniel Cormack was played as a trialist in goal, while former Bonar Bridge defender Craig Mackay was named amongst the subs, named in his first match lineup since beginning training with the Saints in October.

During an even first half, Fort netted the only goal of the game with a stinging drive which beat Cormack, Scott Davidson the scorer. The Saints weren't without their opportunities to score as Jamie Skinner and Jon Campbell both forced saves.

Ten minutes into the second half, Cormack was beaten again, this time by Scott Chisholm from inside the six yard box.

A flurry of goals arrived during the final fifteen minutes following a series of substitutions as the game petered out.
