SCOTT Miller was acknowledged yesterday for his achievement in becoming the first player to net a hat-trick for the revived St Duthus Football Club. The treble came against Inverness Athletic in Muir of Ord on December 3th, thanks to goals either side of the half time whistle in a 3-1 win.
In recognition of this landmark, manager Stuart Ross presented Scott with a bottle of Glenmorangie malt whisky before the game against Thurso.
Adding to his tally, Scott also scored the only goal of the game yesterday. The Brora man has now scored seven goals in ten games for St Duthus, while also having netted five goals in friendly matches throughout the season - making him the Saints' top goalscorer by a clear margin.
