Game: Golspie Sutherland FC v St Duthus FC (North Caledonian League)
Date: Saturday, April 8th, 2017
Venue: King George V Park, Golspie
Referee: John Nicholson
Assistant referees: David Cowie and Paul Grant
THE FINAL games in the league calendar take place on Saturday and for the Saints, a trip to Golspie to replay their postponed December fixture will draw a conclusion to the campaign.
St Duthus manager Stuart Ross is feeling positive about the visit to King George V Park.
It's always a tough challenge, as we've seen first hand in our last two meeting with them. This being our last game though, especially, we will be going to Golspie looking for three points as we try to finish the league campaign with as many points on the board as possible.
Last weekend's game against Brora finished with a heavy scoreline, but there were many positives to take from it, and the energy shown in the first half has been taken forward into training and the squad are looking forward to this match.
For the Saints, the outside chance of a jump to fifth place remains a slight possibility, should they manage to record a win by three goals or more. Given the fact that Golspie have secured victories in both of their previous matches against St Duthus, the likelihood of such a result for Stuart and the lads is most certainly a long shot.
While the Saints are expected to bring a strong squad to Golspie, all that is known of the home side is that they will be without Craig Ross who is serving a suspension.
