THE SAINTS U17s earned their first point of the Ross-shire Youth League summer season with a 3-3 draw away to Dingwall tonight.
A third minute penalty award following a foul on Kenny Patience presented striker Taylor Anderson with the chance to open his account for St Duthus, and he did so with a spot kick from 12 yards. Dingwall struck back ten minutes later with a shot sent low into the corner, and five minutes later they took the lead thanks to a neatly taken volley. St Duthus bounced back five minutes before half time with a well worked goal which Keir Morrison finished close to goal, leaving the scores level at the break.
The Saints played some impressive football throughout the second period, but it was Dingwall who notched next, hitting the Saints on the break after 60 minutes. Restoring parity, Scott MacIver pulled the scores back to 3-3 with a stunning shot from 25 yards which left the Dingwall goalkeeper helpless. A late chance to snatch a win evaded the visitors when an Anderson ball across the face of goal only narrowly missed it's target.
