PREPARATIONS for the upcoming 2018-19 season are now well underway and as the weeks count down before training starts once again, St Duthus managers Stuart and Andrew Ross have been delighted with the commitment from many of last seasons' squad.
In the past month, Ken Morrison, Finn As-Chainey, Adam MacDonald and Scott Miller have all joined Cammy Mackintosh in signing up for the new campaign, with others expected in the weeks that follow.
Ken Morrison, 22, is now in his third season with St Duthus having played 33 games for the club over this time. A commanding midfield presence, Ken has also shown great versatility in recent times, offering defensive cover when required.
On the back of a hugely successful campaign which saw him collect the Man of the Match award in the North Caledonian Cup Final, Finn As-Chainey, 18, scooped the club's Young Player of the Year award at the end of the season and finished as the Saints' top scorer for 2017-18.
Adam MacDonald, 20, is continuing his recovery from a persistent injury that unfortunately kept him out of the majority of the 2017-18 season - but as a former club Young Player of the Year, his return is highly anticipated and he will be like a new signing upon his return.
Finally, Scott Miller, 28, is also set for his third season with the Saints and as the top scorer for the club since its 2016 revival with 15 goals, he is sure to be an instrumental component in the team's plans for the new season.
