SAINTS U17s recorded another impressive win at Grant Park today romping to a 4-0 victory over Highland Football League opponents Forres Mechanics.
Striker Taylor Anderson opened the scoring for the Young Saints on 29 minutes. First onto a ball over the top he controlled the ball before finishing well to the Forres keeper's left side. Anderson snatched a second three minutes before the interval with a finish from close range following sustained pressure from Saints.
Calum Robinson added to the scoreline midway through the second half with a superbly hit free kick which beat the keeper at his back post from fully 30 yards. The fourth goal was netted by debutant Ross Mackenzie four minutes before time and he made no mistake with an authoritative finish inside the box after getting on the end of a ball in from the right.
The win was a just reward for the boys, and it could have been more decisive were it not for good goalkeeping between the Mechanics sticks from Tyler Frisken.
The win keeps the pressure on 6th place Lossiemouth as daylight continues to grow between Saints and the bottom five in the Highland League U17 North.
