Honours even at Culbokie

Five days removed from their opening friendly against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, St. Duthus followed up with a game at Culbokie against Clachnacuddin Under 20s which proved to be a very good test. Two trialists were fielded from the start of the game, in defence and midfield, to compliment an already strong traveling squad.

Brian Christie's Clach side took the lead right before the break but in truth, it could have been either side going in with the advantage at the interval, with the woodwork and a goalline clearance denying Saints at different moments.

In the second half, a penalty award allowed Clach to double their advantage, but the extended lead was only temporary as Scott Miller got on the end of a ball from Ben Bruce to pull a goal back. The equaliser arrived five minutes from time when substitute Aiden Stainke tucked the ball into the bottom corner from inside the box.

Team from:
Stephen Campbell, Ali Matheson, John Skinner, Charlie MacDonald, Adam Allan, Trialist, Paul Beaton, Cammy Mackintosh, Jon Campbell, Trialist, Ben Bruce, Scott Miller, Alan Geegan, Andreas Broomfield, Sam Beeston, Robbie Murray, Aiden Stainke, Finn As-Chainey
