St. Duthus got off the mark in the North Caledonian League last weekend, recording an impressive win away to Halkirk - and on the back of that, Stuart Ross's men will now be looking for another three points, this time on their travels to Inverness. This game is the first of two back-to-back trips to the Inverness Royal Academy Sports Centre which could set the tone for the season ahead.
Following on from a weekend of dealing with absences due to injury and work commitments, St. Duthus are looking slightly brighter this weekend on the availability front, with Ben Bruce and Ross Tokely likely to make a return. Stuart Ross does still expect to see a couple of trialists involved, however.
Listen to Stuart's pre match thoughts below.
Inverness have got off to a whirlwind start so far in 2019/20. The Jock Mackay Cup semi-finalists recorded a 7-1 win in their opening league game against Bunillidh, and scored eight in their cup quarter final match against Nairn County. Their form certainly suggests that they are having no problem finding the net so far.
But fortunes between the two sides have been very mixed since they both joined the North Caledonian League in 2016. Last season, it was a case of happy hunting grounds in the two league fixtures, as Saints and Inverness both traded losses on home soil. This will be first time, however, that both sides will have played on the artificial surface at the Inverness Royal Academy Sports Centre, which has been the new home of Inverness Athletic since their move there late last year.
The game kicks off at 2.30pm. Supporters are encouraged to arrive prior to kick off to ensure suitable parking.
