St. Duthus get back to Macleod & MacCallum North Caledonian League business on Saturday with a home game against Easter Ross rivals Invergordon as they look to claim the local bragging rights and put three more points on the board.
The Saints squad is not expected to change much following their impressive 4-1 win over Inverness Athletic in last weekend's Jock Mackay Cup semi-final meeting. Charlie Macdonald misses out again, unavailable for the match, while Craig Munro remains an injury concern.
The teams last met on league duty back in January and it was a memorable one for St. Duthus as they recorded their first post-revival win over their neighbours since rejoining the league in 2016. Now on a four match winning streak, Saints will be looking to make it five as they enjoy a spell of good form.
Manager Stuart Ross has been delighted with the application in recent games -- and training -- but is also well aware of the strength possessed by Saturday's opponents.
As much as Saints are playing well, the form book also favours Invergordon as they sit with nine points from their first three games in the league, having easily dispatched of Bonar Bridge of Bunillidh Thistle while also recording an early-season victory over title holders Golspie Sutherland. Gary Campbell's newest additions include former Highland League striker Ian Penwright who has already found the net four times this campaign.
