Interim co-manager Alan Geegan will be joined by co-managerial conspirator Justin Rogers in the dugout this weekend, as Saints welcome Alness United to Tain on North Caledonian League business for the first time since January 2019.
Justin last featured as an active player for Saints in the 2018-19 season, and now, having rejoined St. Duthus during the summer, this time as a coach, Justin has had a good amount of time to reacquaint himself with the squad and also to form a working relationship with Alan Geegan.
The former Brora and Forres forward man brings a wealth of playing experience to the club, and pairing up with fellow coach Alan Geegan, he has very quickly embraced the new role he finds himself in following the departure of Stuart and Andrew Ross at the end of September.
"I think me and Geegs work well together. I am learning from him every week, and although it's early days, I think the boys having taken to us well."
Tomorrow, he steps into the role of interim co-manager of St. Duthus alongside Geegan for the first time, having missed out last week due to a family event - and he is keen to keep Saints focussed on their own game going into what it sure to a closely fought derby match at Grant Park.
"It will be a tough game tomorrow. Alness will be a different team to the one we played in pre-season, we will expect them to be a good side - but it's up to us to play to the same levels we did last week, to keep building on those improvements and press on a bit more, as we know we can."
St. Duthus have bolstered their options with the addition of midfielder Daniel Christie who has signed with the club following two trial matches in September, netting a goal against Inverness in the club's last home match - a 4-2 victory over Inverness.
Goalkeeper Danny Gillan is another recent addition who could feature tomorrow, having signed with Saints on a short term loan from Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Gillan most recently played in the matches against Loch Ness and Invergordon, giving a good showing on both occasions.
The game kicks off at the earlier time of 1pm on Saturday, at Saints' home of Grant Park. Teas, coffee and hot snacks will be on sale. We encourage supporters to come on down to support the lads.
