LAST NIGHT, St Duthus FC held their first AGM and formally elected a committee to take the club forward in their resurrection and re-application to join the North Caledonian Football Association. Speaking to the official website, newly elected Chairperson Niall Harkiss said:
"I am honoured to have been elected as the Chairperson for our first campaign, and in Dale Finlayson and Alan Forsyth we have elected two very enthusiastic, talented and passionate office bearers to act as custodians for this club, as Treasurer and Facilities Manager, respectively. We also elected members Stuart Ross & Andrew Ross (as our management team), and a committee of Ian Christie, Tristan Hopkins, Darren Mackay, James Rice and Gregor Ravenhill, along with associate members Gavin MacDonald (representing Tain Juniors FC) and Daniel Cormack (representing Tain Thistle FC). A special note of thanks must also go to John Waring, President of Tain Tennis Club, who attended our meeting and imparted his invaluable advice as a widely experienced fundraiser."
The club is pleased to report that we have now accepted pledges totalling £950 via our Crowdfunder campaign to raise funds to help with the club's revival - a fantastic amount - and that is thanks entirely to the generosity of everyone who has pledged their support over the past 35 days. We cannot thank them enough. We have just 10 days remaining on Crowdfunder, so we must urgently encourage friends, family or anyone else who enjoys a football cause, to consider pledging.
