CULBOKIE provided the opposition for a Friday night friendly last night as the Saints cruised to victory with a dominant 3-0 win at Dingwall Academy.
Two trialists were included in the fifteen man squad who traveled to Dingwall, while goalkeeper Steven Martin and messrs Garry Macleod, John Skinner, Ken Morrison and Sam Beeston all missed out.
The Saints got off the mark quickly with a goal in the eighth minute. Liam Mcleod moved quickly to find Ewan Ross on the left wing and the wing back's long cross to the far post was met by his counterpart on the right, Adam MacDonald who rattled the ball home.
A couple of first half injuries resulted in early substitutions, however the Saints looked in command thoughtout, ensuring that Culbokie were the busier defence.
It was 2-0 after 53 minutes when substitute Scott Miller latched on to a Graham Noble throw and rifled the ball home.
Great work from Jon Campbell minutes later resulted in the third goal, the midfield man playing Louis Webster in for a finish close to the keeper.
The Saints had the ball in the net for a fourth time but the goal was promptly disallowed, after a spectacular run from Will Ross saw the defender rattle the crossbar and Webster, in an offside position, tapped the rebound into the net.
