Game: Alness United FC vs St Duthus FC (Football Times Cup Quarter Final)
Date: Saturday, September 30th, 2017
Venue: Dalmore Park, Alness

TOMORROW afternoon, the Saints will visit Dalmore Park to play Alness United in the quarter final of the Football Times Cup, as they look to get back to winning ways following last week's blip against Golspie.
The last of this year's summer football commitments will be fulfilled by the Lairg contingent within the squad, who are all expected to miss out, while Andreas Broomfield departs for work in Barcelona. Adam MacDonald is expected to remain on the sidelines as he recovers from a knee injury.
The squad were put through their paces on Wednesday evening at training, and Stuart Ross is optimistic about his side's chances of reaching the semi final.
We'll be looking to bounce back after last week's disappointment. Everyone was absolutely gutted with how we showed up for that game. Training was of a good standard this week, run at a good tempo, and the boys turned out in good numbers. We're hoping to be able to rectify things on Saturday with a good showing at Alness, which will be a tough game against a team who are always good on their own park.
Alness United have made a good start to the new season. Wins over Invergordon and Bunillidh Thistle have seen them pick up six points already in the Macleod & MacCallum North Caledonian League - just two points less than the eight they gained throughout the entire 2016-17 campaign. A much improved team, they must surely be considered the "form team" on their home ground going into tomorrow's much anticipated tie.
A home game against either Golspie or Lewis & Harris awaits the winners in the semi final.
