ST DUTHUS were boosted this week by the news of several new additions to the squad ahead of the coming weekend's Football Times Cup opener away to Nairn County.
Explosive striker Jake Lockett, 21 (pictured), who now resides in Balintore, makes a return to the Saints following an eighteen month spell with Golspie Sutherland, having previously joined the club at the beginning of their revival season. Jake has begun his pre-season in scoring fashion, netting against both Bunillidh and Brora Rangers in August friendlies.
Also joining the club is defender Paul Beaton. Paul, whose list of former clubs includes Inverness City and Dornoch, will bring with him several years of experience playing in defence. Also joining from Inverness City is veteran midfielder Alan Geegan, who will be best known to North Caledonian League followers for his time at Muir of Ord Rovers between 2007 and 2014.
The club have also added midfielder Robbie Murray, who also featured in the Bunillidh and Brora friendlies. Robbie, 24, comes to Saints from Alness United.
In other news, forwards Jamie Skinner and Louis Webster have both left the club. Everyone at St Duthus would like to thank them for their contributions over the past two seasons. We wish them all the best.
