St. Duthus are delighted to confirm the return of goalkeeper Steven Martin.
Having been a regular fixture for Saints between 2016 and 2018, Steven rejoins his hometown club from Highland League champions Brora Rangers, having also played for Clachnacuddin during a two year spell in the Highland League.
Tain native, Steven, 33, was the first signing made by the newly appointed St Duthus management team of Stuart and Andrew Ross back in July 2016, as he quickly asserted himself as a key member of the team. Across two seasons for the Saints, he played 41 competitive games, keeping 5 clean sheets. In March 2018 he reaped the on-the-field rewards when he collected a North Caledonian Cup winners medal for his part in the Saints' 3-1 win over Golspie Sutherland to win the cup for the first time since 1990.
Manager Stuart Ross confirmed his delight at the signing this week.
"Steven, of course, is a player we know well at St. Duthus. It's great to be able to welcome him back into the fold. In Steven, we have a goalkeeper who brings with him a wealth of senior football experience. Between himself and Johnny, we now have two fantastic keepers with great ability who we can trust at our disposal."
